Flooding coming into the Nursery Car park when it rains
Sent to Aberdeenshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 977026.
Over the past few months my Nursery car park has flooded when it rains (Links Nursery, Birch Way, Balmedie AB23 8SJ). I have had tradesmen look at our car park but they can find no issue therefore I wonder if there is a problem with a drain etc in Birch Way itself or in the surrounding streets/ground areas that is blocked or similar and causing surface water to drain down into our car park. It gets so bad during heavy rain that our customers have to walk through several cms of water to access the Nursery.

We’ve completed our inspection and were unable to log a defect requiring action by the Roads Service.
In many cases, this means the issue may relate to land or infrastructure that is not maintained by our service. If the situation changes, or if you’re able to provide additional information, you’re welcome to get back in touch. However, if the issue continues to fall outside the Roads Service’s responsibility, it will remain with the appropriate service or owner to address.
