Water flowing down road on south side
Sent to Aberdeenshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 975426.
Water has been flowing along one side of the road for over 9 months. Mud is getting progressively worse and likely to cause problems with ice frequently throughout winter months. Scottish Water were contact to report fault and they have confirmed it is groundwater (ref: CAS-3112707-B6Y7W).

We’ve had a look at the issue and have now passed your enquiry to our local Roads Team for assessment. They’ll determine what action is needed and we’ll update you once that assessment has taken place.

We’ve completed our inspection and identified that the issue relates to an obstruction or defect for which a private party is responsible, under the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984.
The Roads Authority is taking appropriate action to resolve the matter. This may include requiring the responsible individual or organisation to carry out remedial work within a specified timescale.
We’ll continue to monitor the situation and take further steps if necessary to ensure compliance.
