Damaged gas utility marker causing pedestrian safety issue
Sent to Aberdeenshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 974748.
A gas utility marker on the corner of Balquharn Drive and Balquharn Circle (postcode AB12 4AH; What 3 words location: waddle.whisker.bottle) is broken and has bent over flat onto the pavement. It is causing a trip hazard to passing pedestrians and local kids have been jumping on it, which is hazardous.

We’ve completed our inspection and can confirm that the issue you reported relates to infrastructure owned or maintained by a utility company or other statutory undertaker.
Where possible, we will notify the responsible organisation of the defect. However, responsibility for inspecting, maintaining and repairing utility apparatus rests with the asset owner. If you require further information or updates, please contact the relevant utility provider directly.
Please note that utility covers, access points, cabinets, poles and associated equipment remain the responsibility of the utility provider, and the Roads Authority does not carry out repairs to these assets. We do, however, maintain the surrounding road and footway surfaces.
