Ballater Road, Aboyne ( passed Golf Road - near to plot of land recently sold )
Reported via desktop in the Surface Issue category anonymously at 12:13, Tuesday 7 July 2026
Sent to Aberdeenshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 973316.
Pavement was recently dug up and relaid with tar. There is a dip in the pavement that has been left because of this - customer is a wheelchair user and feels the new paving is unsafe ( worry they could fall off ). Can this be looked into further

We’ve completed our inspection and were unable to log a defect requiring action by the Roads Service.
In many cases, this means the issue may relate to land or infrastructure that is not maintained by our service. This could include areas looked after by another part of the Council — such as housing, landscape, or waste services — or by a third party, such as a utility provider, housing association, developer, or private landowner.
If the situation changes, or if you’re able to provide additional information, you’re welcome to get back in touch. However, if the issue continues to fall outside the Roads Service’s responsibility, it will remain with the appropriate service or owner to address.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention
