Unnecessary sign left abandoned

There is a ‘Diversion’ sign at the junction of King St / Depot Rd which has been left there for over 3 weeks (diversion ceased almost as long as the sign has been there)causing an obstruction to vehicle users especially leaving Depot Rd onto King St with oncoming traffic having to swerve out to avoid the redundant sign. Please note this is also at the junction which leads to the council depot, can’t imagine how many council vehicles, workmen, managers etc have driven past this on a daily basis and not one throught to remove it. Maybe a case of “not my job” comes to mind. This is also obvious all over Aberdeenshire roads signs left for weeks after works are completed.
