Collapsed footpath

Reported via mobile in the Surface Issue category anonymously at 09:23, Wednesday 10 June 2026

Sent to Aberdeenshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 969212.

Wooden step halfway up the footpath leading to no's 28, 30 and 40 has rotten and collapsed. Step below is also rotten and likely to do the same in the near future. Step is further up the path than the map would allow me to select as it was too far from the road however previous repairs have been carried out by roads / landscape services.

  • We have an update - we’ve completed our assessment of the defect logged with us and evaluated the risk it poses.

This risk level determines our target response time which are then are used to prioritise and programme work.

At this stage, other defects posing a higher risk are taking priority and we are not planning to carry out any repair work here at this time. The defect location has been recorded and will be assessed again during the next planned inspection for any further deterioration.

State changed to: No further action
