Thank you for your report. We’ve arranged for an inspection to take place so we can confirm who is responsible for the issue you’ve raised.
This may involve checking whether the defect relates to the public road network or to infrastructure maintained by another council service, a utility company or other private party.

We’ve completed our inspection and identified that the issue relates to an obstruction or defect for which a private party is responsible, under the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984.
The Roads Authority is taking appropriate action to resolve the matter. This may include requiring the responsible individual or organisation to carry out remedial work within a specified timescale.
We’ll continue to monitor the situation and take further steps if necessary to ensure compliance.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
