Water flowing onto road
Reported via desktop in the Water Flowing on to the Road category anonymously at 15:21, Saturday 7 March 2026
Sent to Aberdeenshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 956493.
The issue at this part of the road is that water is running from the fields directly onto the road, causing standing water/flooding. This is the cause that needs to be dealt with otherwise more potholes will appear. There is an issue at this part of the road every year because of this. Install some drainage and then the pothole problem will disappear.

Thank you for your report. We’ve arranged for an inspection to take place so we can confirm who is responsible for the issue you’ve raised.
This may involve checking whether the defect relates to the public road network or to infrastructure maintained by another council service, a utility company or other private party.
We’ll update you once the inspection is complete and we know how the matter will be progressed.
