Worn out double yellow lines

Reported via mobile in the Road Markings category anonymously at 05:34, Thursday 5 March 2026

Sent to Aberdeenshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 956137.

I have reported ongoing parking issues outside of the Meadows sports centre over the past few years. Vehicles are parking on both sides of the road on faded double yellow lines, and reducing access for emergency services to houses at The Meadows. Can you please renew the double yellow lines and reinstate the no parking signs which have been removed recently by contractors building a new facilty at the sports centre. Thank

  • We have an update - we’ve completed our assessment of the defect logged with us and evaluated the risk it poses.

This risk level determines our target response time which are then are used to prioritise and programme work.

At this stage, other defects posing a higher risk are taking priority and we are not planning to carry out any repair work here at this time. The defect location has been recorded and will be assessed again during the next planned inspection for any further deterioration.

State changed to: No further action
