Double Yellow Lines Requested

I have been advised by my housing officer to write to request double yellow lines across from the entry to our block of flats. There are vehicles, including large vehicles such as vans parking opposite the opening to the car park, making it difficult at times to access and exit the car park. The vehicles are often parked poorly, at angles and away from the kerb increasing the difficulty, meaning the pavement is sometimes mounted in order to exit. I would appreciate if this could be surveyed with a view to extending the double yellow lines already in place.
