Street lights not working

Reported via desktop in the Street Light category anonymously at 17:34, Saturday 7 February 2026

Sent to Aberdeenshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 951056.

Please note that there are now two lamp posts on Aboyne bridge not working (coming from Boat Inn end).

It is worth noting that this clearly makes the current bridge situation even more difficult & dangerous for residents south of the river who have to walk or bike across the bridge at night & needs to be escalated ASAP

  • Now no lights at all on the bridge & the original problem has not been resolved after almost 9 weeks. Residents walk this section at night all the time as a result of the bridge closure. Please make this a priority!
