Damage to wall
Reported via desktop in the Verge Damage category anonymously at 16:03, Wednesday 21 January 2026
Sent to Aberdeenshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 946897.
Hopefully find attached photos of the damaged drystone dyke on a bend between Newton of Carnousie farm and Penelopfield farm. The lorry pushed the heap of snow against the dyke with the snow plough. Since thawing you can see the dyke has been pushed over, wires broken and we have had to put up gates to contain livestock. Is the council going to repair the damage and would it be sensible for the council to erect some reflective posts on the roadside to prevent this happening again? I have lived here for 60 plus years and have never had snow pushed against the dyke or any damage before. Please acknowledge
