Iced/untreated road, empty grit bins

No gritter/plough has been seen for days. Lorries, cars, vans – they all keep getting stuck on the now iced road. Residents (Commercial Road, Ness Circle and side streets) are unable to help themselves due to empty grit bins.

  • We’ve now reviewed your request for a new grit bin. After considering factors such as gradient, location, and proximity to existing bins, the location does not currently meet the criteria for a new bin.

    As we need to prioritise sites based on public safety and winter maintenance policies, no further action will be taken at this time.
