Black ice over all roads within and leading to the Carron Den housing development
Reported via desktop in the Road Gritting category anonymously at 09:29, Friday 9 January 2026
Sent to Aberdeenshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 942833.
None of the roads, including Carron Den Drive, have been cleared or treated since the start of the recent severe period of winter weather. The snow has now compacted leading to thick black ice all over the estate. Carron Den Drive leading to/from the housing estate is treacherous leading to many people feeling trapped without being able to get out now on foot or by car. The grit bins are now empty, so despite best efforts by the residents there is nothing more we can do
