Lorries using public road as storage yard

Reported via desktop in the On Street Parking Issue category anonymously at 16:51, Tuesday 2 December 2025

Sent to Aberdeenshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 936445.

The Donaldsons Timber Systems company are using the Public Road at this location to store and move trailers laden with timber kits. There were 5 unhooked trailers parked with another being moved by a specific vehicle (not a lorry) vehicles were meeting on the bend and were having to reverse >20m to pass each other.

Many of the trailers do not have any reflective devices to the front so they are not obvious on approach.

Is this practice legal? Given the size of the yard they have, the company are clearly operating far in excess of their current space, commandeering the public road for their own gain.
