Manhole cover collapsing
Reported via mobile in the Third Party Defect - Utility category anonymously at 21:58, Sun 30 November 2025
Sent to Aberdeenshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 936127.
The manhole cover outside the entrance to Banchory police station is subsiding. It has been gradually sinking over the last few months and is now significantly dipped below the surrounding road surface. It looks in danger of collapsing if not repaired soon. There is also another one a few metres further west which looks like it is also starting to collapse but isn't nearly as bad (yet).
