Sinkhole, near only telegraph pole in vicinity, opposite small tree.

Sent to Aberdeenshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 931367.

This pothole has been well reported previously, and council have marked it with yellow chevrons many months ago. There used to be a traffic cone placed in centre of sunken area, to warn road users of danger of damage to vehicles. The pothole is getting worse, deeper and larger area, and is a significant danger to road users, as it is in the path of nearside wheels. The traffic cone has been displaced by traffic several times, and twice I have found the cone in the ditch and re-instated. However, now the cone has been completely removed, and the yellow chevron markings are worn, and no use as a warning to users of danger. Please just fix it, not really too much to ask before anyone else damages their vehicle on this significant defect.

    We’re currently developing our approach to displaying priorities and target completion times to keep residents better informed. In the meantime, we’ll continue to assess the level of risk and allocate resources based on urgency, location, and the availability of repair teams.
