Repeating damage to pedestrian barriers, ongoing risk to life/injury

Reported via mobile in the Road Safety Issue category anonymously at 11:37, Saturday 1 November 2025

Sent to Aberdeenshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 931175.

Hello, there is an ongoing issue at Westhill Tesco roundabout. The pedestrian barriers are repeatedly getting damaged by oncoming traffic causing substantial damage and risk to life/injury of those pedestrians who may be using the walkway at the time.

I personally use this pedestrian route with a pram on a daily basis and feel unsafe to use the route due to regular damage to the barriers sustained. There are reports of insufficient lighting at the roundabout in the night time/dark hours.

Please review this as a matter of urgency and consider making improvements.
