Overgrown verges

Sent to Aberdeenshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 931029.

The road along the Cairn o Mount approaches from the Clattering Bridge are badly narrowed due to gorse overcrowding the verges. This is forcing cars on to the wrong side of the road.

    We’ve completed our inspection and identified that the issue relates to an obstruction or defect for which a private party is responsible, under the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984.

    The Roads Authority is taking appropriate action to resolve the matter. This may include requiring the responsible individual or organisation to carry out remedial work within a specified timescale.

    We’ll continue to monitor the situation and take further steps if necessary to ensure compliance.
