Overhanging tree onto road

This tree is causing a vision obstruction on a blind corner and damage to vehicles as its hanging onto road. Its fine for cars and small vehicles but tractors and lorries are being forced into hitting it by oncoming traffic. There has been multiple occasions when mirrors have been smashed.

    We’ve completed our inspection and identified that the issue relates to an obstruction or defect for which a private party is responsible, under the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984.

    The Roads Authority is taking appropriate action to resolve the matter. This may include requiring the responsible individual or organisation to carry out remedial work within a specified timescale.

    We’ll continue to monitor the situation and take further steps if necessary to ensure compliance.
