25mph road signs in Banchory & Kincardine O'Neill

Sent to Aberdeenshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 927600.

I am generally supportive of reducing traffic speeds in busy areas where they can help save lives and reduce serious injury. To my surprise 25mph road signs have been installed on Arbeadie Terrace. Because of the existing speed humps all along Arbeadie Terrace no-one ever drives at more than 20mph. Also one of the new 25mph signs has been erected outside Ordeans/Tighnabruich houses and is totally obscured by the existing hedges, visible to no-one. It is totally useless and shows a complete lack of any common sense. Re 20 & 30mph Signs in Kincardine O'Neill I had occasion to drive through Kincardine O'Neill last Sunday. I wasn't surprised to find new 20mph signs on the approach to the village from the East. But I was totally astonished that the speed limit reverted to 30mph by means of new signs before the village centre so that the commercial centre where cars are parked and pedestrians cross the road remains at 30mph, necessitating new 20mph signs on all feeder roads.
