Surface Dressing On Woos Street Banff AB45 1JX

Reported via mobile in the Surface Issue category by Scott Oldman at 17:43, Tue 2 September 2025

Sent to Aberdeenshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 923640.

The Road Surface on Wood Street was Dressed a while ago and we are still continuing to bring Loose chippings into our Home and Garage causing damage with sticky tar and scratches. We have had to replace our hall carpet with Tar marks and most recently I’ve tiled our garage flooring with SwissTrax flooring tiles and they are also becoming damaged by all the stones my car collects from our street. Especially after Rain as all the loose chippings make their way down our street. I do recall a street sweeper coming down our street a short time after the street was Dressed but by not being able to do both sides the problem continues after all this time. I am no professional but what I think needs doing is a letter stating that a Street Sweeper will be coming to do both side so can all neighbours please not park on the street so work can be carried out. Something really needs to be done as not only is the dress chipping causing damage to my property … It is also a hazzard when breaking when the road is wet. If someone could please respond to my problem/complaint I would be very much appreciative

Yours gratefully

Scott Oldman

At this stage, other defects posing a higher risk are taking priority and we are not planning to carry out any repair work here at this time. The defect location has been recorded and will be assessed again during the next planned inspection for any further deterioration.
