Overgrowth from private dwellings plus weedgrowrh
Sent to Aberdeenshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 923086.
This lane between Arduthie Road and Woodcot is well used. However the overgrowth from properties is stretching across and making access very difficult (much of it is at eye level and therefore difficult for the blind and disabled). This leads to lack of light and making the path very soggy in bad weather (only going to get worse as we approach winter) in addition the weed growth is increasing. In dry weather the path is just about walkable but will soon be impossible. We do not want to loose a good route to walk to the town especially as we being encouraged to use our cars less.

We’ve completed our inspection and identified that the issue relates to an obstruction or defect for which a private party is responsible, under the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984.
The Roads Authority is taking appropriate action to resolve the matter. This may include requiring the responsible individual or organisation to carry out remedial work within a specified timescale.
We’ll continue to monitor the situation and take further steps if necessary to ensure compliance.
