Reported via mobile in the Surface Issue category anonymously at 10:16, Thursday 21 August 2025

Sent to Aberdeenshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 922009.

Surface around storm drain sinking. Road surface bulging and cracking. Road surface erosion causing loose debris being thrown on to pavement. Surface areas cracking. All above causing severe vehicle noise and vibration strong enough to be felt in house 50 feet away. These problems have been steadily deteriorating over a long period and being a trunk Road there is heavy traffic use especially heavy goods and large agricultural vehicles which continues all hours causing severe noise etc.

  • We have an update - we’ve completed our assessment of the defect logged with us and evaluated the risk it poses.

This risk level determines our target response time which are then are used to prioritise and programme work.

At this stage, other defects posing a higher risk are taking priority and we are not planning to carry out any repair work here at this time. The defect location has been recorded and will be assessed again during the next planned inspection for any further deterioration.
