Large, loose stones all over the road as the surface is breaking up

This problem seems to be getting worse as cars have to turn in this tight area. I ride a motorcycle most days and leaving my driveway to ride across this surface can de-stabilise the bike.

  • We’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed your enquiry to our local Roads Team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when that assessment has taken place.

  • We have an update - we’ve completed our assessment of the defect logged with us and evaluated the risk it poses.

    This risk level determines our target response time which are then are used to prioritise and programme work.

    At this stage, other defects posing a higher risk are taking priority and we are not planning to carry out any repair work here at this time. The defect location has been recorded and will be assessed again during the next planned inspection for any further deterioration.
