Many blocked and overgrown road drains

Sent to Aberdeenshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 920485.

There are many overgrown and or blocked road drains on this road, and many other Hillside area roads, which when it rails lead to water cascading down the road and not draining away, a risk when driving and cycling, as well as a flood risk at the bottom of the hill

  • We have an update - we’ve completed our assessment of the defect logged with us and evaluated the risk it poses.

    This risk level determines our target response time which are then are used to prioritise and programme work.

    At this stage, other defects posing a higher risk are taking priority and we are not planning to carry out any repair work here at this time. The defect location has been recorded and will be assessed again during the next planned inspection for any further deterioration.

  • The issue you reported has now been resolved.

    Depending on the nature and scope of the initial enquiry, the necessary repairs will have been carried out either by our frontline maintenance crews or, in some cases, completed directly by one of our inspectors during their site visit.
