Sent to Aberdeenshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 920112.
I had a dropped kerb constructed in December last year so I could have a driveway constructed at my property. I followed the correct procedure for the dropped kerb with permission approved following assessment & recommendation of the proposed location of a dropped kerb by Aberdeenshire Council. I am writing to request an assessment of the parking situation outside my property at 18 Glebe Land, Kirkton of Skene, AB32 6XX. A vehicle is regularly parked directly opposite my dropped kerb (every weekend), and due to the narrowness of the road, I am unable to safely enter or exit my driveway when this occurs. I have spoken politely to the man responsible on two occasions, but he has flat out refused to stop parking there. I regularly have issues whereby other vehicles park opposite my dropped kerb which means I am often unable to access my driveway due to the obstruction. I would be grateful if the council could: ·??Assess whether the road is too narrow to allow parking opposite a driveway. ·??Consider implementing any appropriate measures (e.g. advisory markings, restrictions, or signage) to prevent repeated obstruction. I'm happy to provide photos or further information if required.
