Lack of street lighting
Reported via mobile in the Road Safety Issue category anonymously at 23:23, Thu 7 August 2025
Sent to Aberdeenshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 920074.
This area is very poorly lit, the large adopted car park only has 3 street lights none of which are near the junction.
I live at No36 and our end of the car park relied on the light opposite the junction to get some form of light but it and the one at the West Court junction were removed recently as the poles were rotten. So now the junction is in complete darkness and our end of the car park is even darker than we're used to, I imagine the West Court junction is similar.
I believe this is a road safety issue which will only worsen as the days get shorter so was wondering when these lights will be replaced?
It's also really affected the level of lighting on the footpath which runs between No40 Forest Way and No1 West Court, this path was already very dark but now it's even worse.
An idea of a timescale would be really appreciated.
Thank you
