Fallen branches

Reported via desktop in the Trees Fallen on Road category anonymously at 13:53, Thu 7 August 2025

Sent to Aberdeenshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 919987.

I called on Tuesday morning to report 3 large branches from the storm on Monday that have ended up in my front garden. These branches could have hit my windows and broken the glass ordamage the roof tiles. thos is not the forst time that I have reported managedto have the tree in front of her house removed my concern regarding the large tree in front of my house. With each storm it sways uncontrollably and it wont be too long before it crashes onto my house doing serious damage to it or me. The tree is on council land and is therefore council responsibility. My neighbour in number 6 managed to have the tree in front of her house removed, so whats the problem with my one? The tree next to it has two branches hanging off. I would appreciate a positive outcome regarding this matter. Mrs M Inch 5 Kirkhill Way Potterton

  • We’ve completed our inspection and were unable to log a defect requiring action by the Roads Service.

In many cases, this means the issue may relate to land or infrastructure that is not maintained by our service. This could include areas looked after by another part of the Council — such as housing, landscape, or waste services — or by a third party, such as a utility provider, housing association, developer, or private landowner.

If the situation changes, or if you’re able to provide additional information, you’re welcome to get back in touch. However, if the issue continues to fall outside the Roads Service’s responsibility, it will remain with the appropriate service or owner to address.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention
