Sewer cover with hole around it. Really bad surface on road with potholes

Sent to Aberdeenshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 919670.

This road is been in a bad state for a very long time. The drain cover is sitting proud to the road surface and is going to cause damage to tires. The surface of Winding Brae tarmac is very uneven with potholes that are getting deeper and more even surface.

  • We’ve had a look at the issue and have now passed your enquiry to our local Roads Team for assessment. They’ll determine what action is needed and we’ll update you once that assessment has taken place.

  • We have an update - we’ve completed our assessment of the defect logged with us and evaluated the risk it poses.

    This risk level determines our target response time which are then are used to prioritise and programme work.

    At this stage, other defects posing a higher risk are taking priority and we are not planning to carry out any repair work here at this time. The defect location has been recorded and will be assessed again during the next planned inspection for any further deterioration.
