Grate over gully had fallen into gully leaving large exposed hole by road side.

This is a new problem to my knowledge. It was lifted out of gully and put back in place as showing in photo but it is not secure and it could easily happen again. A large and deep hole of this nature would not be safe if exposed.

  • We’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed your enquiry to our local Roads Team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when that assessment has taken place.

  • We have an update - we’ve completed our assessment of the defect logged with us and evaluated the risk it poses.

    This risk level determines our target response time which are then are used to prioritise and programme work.

    At this stage, other defects posing a higher risk are taking priority and we are not planning to carry out any repair work here at this time. The defect location has been recorded and will be assessed again during the next planned inspection for any further deterioration.
