Overhanging Trees & Vegetation problem

Reported in the Overhanging Trees & Vegetation category by Aberdeenshire Council at 15:04, Fri 19 April 2024

Council ref: 834148.

Trees / Vegetation - Enquiry number: 833558 : I reported this earlier this week and I do not agree with the decision. The Daffodils SIGNIFICANTLY impair line of sight when exiting from the Alford direction, particularly if you are in a low car and are personally vertically challenged. Yes, it is already an awkward junction, but the daffodils make it even more dangerous. As reported, if the car coming towards me had not slowed to almost a stop, there would have been a collision. I hope you will reconsider your decision to avoid any future accidents. It is not a difficult procedure to move these daffodils.

Updates

  • We have an update - we’ve completed our assessment of the defect logged with us and evaluated the risk it poses.

This risk level determines our target response time which are then are used to prioritise and programme work.

At this stage, other defects posing a higher risk are taking priority and we are not planning to carry out any repair work here at this time. The defect location has been recorded and will be assessed again during the next planned inspection for any further deterioration.

State changed to: No further action
