At present, the National Speed Limit applies on that stretch of road but I believe that in the interest of safety, 40mph would be more appropriate. There are several properties with concealed entrances in that area including mine. I reside in the middle of that stretch of road. I can only see as far as the bend to my left if pulling out of my driveway. On many occasions, I have pulled out of what appears to be a clear road only to have a vehicle nearly rear end me within seconds which results in them sounding their horn and flashing their lights in anger. In fact, the previous occupant of this house was hit by a car whilst crossing the road. There are seven properties currently impacted as a result of the speed that vehicles are permitted to drive at. In addition to the potential for an accident, the noise from speeding vehicles is also a factor.
