Road Flooding or Standing Water problem

Reported in the Road Flooding or Standing Water category by Aberdeenshire Council at 12:57, Fri 5 January 2024

Council ref: 803182.

Flooding (No Sewage) - Ditch on Northside of road at junction for 'Forest of Birse / Finzean Primary School' back westbound to stone culvert adjoining 'Whitehills' property is choked.

Water and silt / road debris runs from the farmer's field through the stone wall and flows over the road and down in to our property flooding our garage.

The water flowing down the brick stone driveway of property 'Whitehills' and across the road exacerbates the problem. This results in the iron manhole unable to cope with the volume of water. The problem could easily be solved with a french drain funneling water into the dyke adjoining the east side the property.

At this stage, other defects posing a higher risk are taking priority and we are not planning to carry out any repair work here at this time. The defect location has been recorded and will be assessed again during the next planned inspection for any further deterioration.
