Road sign which shows oncoming traffic has priority has been defaced
Reported via mobile in the Signs & Bollards category anonymously at 22:16, Fri 4 July 2025
Sent to Aberdeenshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 915875.
The black arrow showing that you have to wait/give way to oncoming traffic (who have right of way) has been defaced/damaged - the black arrow is non-existent - the amount of accidents that have almost occurred as traffic does not wait is ridiculous, as someone who uses this bridge 4 times a day. every day I come across at least one or two drivers daily ignoring the sign and trying to cross the bridge when they don’t have right of way.

We’re currently developing our approach to displaying priorities and target completion times to keep residents better informed. In the meantime, we’ll continue to assess the level of risk and allocate resources based on urgency, location, and the availability of repair teams.
This defect has been added to our works programme and will be scheduled accordingly.
Thank you for your patience while we carry out this work.
