Reported in the Overhanging Trees & Vegetation category by Aberdeenshire Council at 13:51, Mon 8 April 2024
Council ref: 831248.
There is a large beech tree which is dead; limbs are breaking off into farmers fields and could fall onto the road. The tree has a red dot on it, not sure if it has been put there by us. If we could call Mr Smith on the above number if we have any queries.
Updates
-
We have an update - we’ve completed our assessment of the defect logged with us and evaluated the risk it poses.
This risk level determines our target response time which are then are used to prioritise and programme work.
At this stage, other defects posing a higher risk are taking priority and we are not planning to carry out any repair work here at this time. The defect location has been recorded and will be assessed again during the next planned inspection for any further deterioration.
State changed to: No further action

We’ve completed our inspection and were unable to log a defect requiring action by the Roads Service.
In many cases, this means the issue may relate to land or infrastructure that is not maintained by our service. This could include areas looked after by another part of the Council — such as housing, landscape, or waste services — or by a third party, such as a utility provider, housing association, developer, or private landowner.
If the situation changes, or if you’re able to provide additional information, you’re welcome to get back in touch. However, if the issue continues to fall outside the Roads Service’s responsibility, it will remain with the appropriate service or owner to address.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention
