Gully problem
Reported in the Gully category by Aberdeenshire Council at 10:14, Wed 19 July 2023
Council ref: 761289.
I have reported this issue a couple of times now over the past year using the online tool but have had no response. I live at Woodside, Cornhill, Banff, Aberdeenshire, AB45 2JA on the B9023 between Cornhill and Aberchirder. There is a road drain opposite my property which is routed into a culvert under a farmers field entrance. That culvert is completely blocked so no water can drain through there. During the past 2 winters with heavy rain, the water fill up in the drainage ditch and then makes its way across the road to drain directly into my property. I have had to have my basement pumped out because of this issue and don’t want to head into another winter with the same issue. Could someone please come out and at least have a look at the issue as it just needs to be properly unblocked to make the problem go away. The culver is way too blocked for myself and my partner to contemplate clearing and the farmer who owns the entrance with the blocked culvert will not touch it either as he says it is the council who look after this. I would really appreciate a call so this issue can be listed on your register and eventually dealt with thanks. (no phone number provided on email)
