Drain completely silted up & road collapsing into verge
Sent to Aberdeenshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 915424.
Water unable to drain away as drain completed silted up. The road surface is breaking up & road appears to be collapsing into verge. During periods of heavy rain, the road completely floods. A channel in the verge has been cut out in the past to drain water off the road,.

We’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed your enquiry to our local Roads Team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when that assessment has taken place.

We’re currently developing our approach to displaying priorities and target completion times to keep residents better informed. In the meantime, we’ll continue to assess the level of risk and allocate resources based on urgency, location, and the availability of repair teams.
This defect has been added to our works programme and will be scheduled accordingly.

Depending on the nature and scope of the initial enquiry, the necessary repairs will have been carried out either by our frontline maintenance crews or, in some cases, completed directly by one of our inspectors during their site visit.
