Worn Speed Hump

Reported via mobile in the Surface Issue category anonymously at 15:35, Thursday 1 October 2026

Sent to Aberdeenshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 985094.

Speed humps need to be reviewed. They are worn and not slowing down traffic at all.

  • This road is in desperate need of decent speed bumps to stop drivers excessive speeds. It is shocking and disrespectful to the residents who fought for a 30mph zone. There is also a community hall on this road and more should be done for the safety of our community.

  • We’re currently developing our approach to displaying priorities and target completion times to keep residents better informed. In the meantime, we’ll continue to assess the level of risk and allocate resources based on urgency, location, and the availability of repair teams.

This defect has been added to our works programme and will be scheduled accordingly.

    • To be Completed by: 25/12/2026
    • Road category: 4A
    • Road speed limit: 60

The date shown above represents the latest target for completion based on our current programme of works. This may be brought forward where resources, operational priorities, or coordination with other activities allow. Defects assessed as posing a higher risk are prioritised for earlier repair whenever possible.

Thank you for your patience while we carry out this work.

    State changed to: Planned

  • Road Speed Limit noted as 60mph, this is incorrect. This part of the road is 30mph which drivers fail to acknowledge. Please consider changing the existing speed humps to full length as this is not a bus route, and should be more effective to slowing down drivers doing twice the speed limit.
